My name is Greg Wannniarachchi and welcome to my reaseach site on the Melbourne Capitol Theater.

I am a student at Deakin University in Burwood (Melbourne) and the purpose of this website was a research project of my final assignment of the unit Contemporary Australian Cinema (AAM319).

After extensive research via AFI Research Center (Melbourne) and numerous sources online, I was learned extensively about this great iconic theater and the significance of the Capitol theater not only for the architecture and film community but to every visitor and resident of the city of Melbourne.
